Key Responsibilities
1. Installation & Wiring

Install new electrical systems, including wiring, distribution boards (consumer units), sockets, switches, and light fittings.
*
Follow technical drawings, diagrams, and specifications (e.g., from architects or engineers).
*
Route cables, either internally in conduits/trunking or externally, ensuring protection and support.
*
Connect power supplies to machinery, control systems, and other equipment in industrial settings.
2. Testing, Inspection & Fault Finding (Crucial Skill)
*
Perform Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) to assess the safety of existing installations.
*
Use specialised test equipment (e.g., multimeters, insulation resistance testers, earth fault loop testers) to check for faults, continuity, and safety.
*
Diagnose and rectify electrical faults efficiently and safely, from a tripping circuit to a major system failure.
