About the Role As a Waste Management Loader, you will work as part of a collection crew responsible for the safe and efficient collection of household and commercial waste, recycling, and green waste across the borough. We are currently looking for a Shunter Driver. You will be working in Skelmersdale Monday - Friday 36 hours per week Temp Contract - Ongoing Pay rate - £15.23ph paye Job Purpose 1. Safely shunt and manoeuvre waste collection vehicles, trailers, and associated plant within the depot and waste transfer station. 2. Position vehicles correctly for loading, unloading, washing, and maintenance activities. 3. Conduct routine vehicle safety checks and report defects in accordance with Council fleet procedures. 4. Maintain safe traffic flow within the site, always ensuring segregation of pedestrians and vehicles.
