We are seeking a resilient, adaptable, and confident Cover Supervisor to support a range of secondary schools across Tavistock. In this pivotal role, you will supervise classes during short-term teacher absences, ensuring pupils remain engaged and learning continues effectively. This flexible position is ideal for individuals with strong behaviour-management skills, a calm and professional manner, and the ability to build rapport quickly with students. Key Responsibilities Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials to classes across Key Stages 3 and 4. Manage student behaviour in line with school policies, maintaining a positive, safe learning environment. Ensure pupils stay on task, offering support and clarification where needed (teaching is not required). Follow safeguarding procedures and escalate concerns appropriately.
