Are you an experienced Mechanical Contracts Manager with a proven background in commercial and healthcare environments? We are a well-established M&E Contractor seeking a contract professional to take immediate ownership of ongoing mechanical projects across the West Midlands.
This is a 3-month contract position with the potential for extension based on workload and performance.
🔧 Key Responsibilities

Overseeing mechanical packages on commercial and healthcare sites
*
Managing subcontractors, site teams, and engineers to deliver projects on time and within budget
*
Liaising with clients, main contractors, and internal departments to ensure smooth project delivery
*
Coordinating and ensuring compliance with RAMS, H&S regulations, and site-specific protocols
*
Attending site meetings, producing progress reports, and handling variations or technical queries
*
Reviewing and approving drawings, specifications, and procurement schedules
*
Ensuring all mechanical systems (e.g., HVAC, hot & cold water systems, medical gases where applicable) are installed to spec and tested/commissioned properly
🎯 Requirements
*
Proven experience as a Mechanical Contracts Manager within M&E contracting
*
Strong track record delivering projects in commercial and healthcare settings
*
Relevant Mechanical qualifications (e.g., HNC/HND in Building Services Engineering, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
*
Excellent knowledge of mechanical systems and services within building environments
*
Able to manage multiple sites and work in a fast-paced environment
*
CSCS card, SMSTS, and relevant H&S qualifications preferred
