We are looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist Autism Unit within a mainstream school in Haringey (N17) from January 2026.
You'll be supporting pupils with autism (ASC), including some who are non-verbal or have significant communication and sensory needs.
Role overview:
Full-time, long-term role in an autism provision
1:1 and small-group support
Following EHCP targets and individual learning plans
Using visual supports, routines and structured activities
Supporting emotional regulation and behaviour linked to anxiety
Working closely with the class teacher and SENCo
Assisting with personal care where required
We're looking for someone who:
Has experience with autism and/or other SEND (school, care, youth work or similar)
Is patient, calm and resilient
Can build positive relationships and follow support plans consistently
Is able to commit Monday-Friday from January 2026 for the full academic year
Has the right to work in the UK
