Stafforce is currently recruiting Car Drivers on behalf of our client based in North Shields. This role involves safely moving and parking vehicles within a port environment, including discharging vehicles from vessels. We're looking for reliable, professional individuals with strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
Shifts & Pay Rates:
Day Shift: 06:00 - 21:59 - £12.39/hour
Night Shift: 22:00 - 05:59 - £13.14/hour
Weekend Shifts: Variable hours - £14.77/hour
Key Responsibilities:
Discharging cars from Ro-Ro vessels safely and efficiently
Driving and parking vehicles around the port as instructed
Following traffic marshals' directions and site procedures
Adhering to all health and safety regulations
Working as part of a team to meet tight deadlines
Required Experience & Skills:
Full UK Driving Licence (no points)
Previous commercial driving experience
Confident handling various vehicle types (manual and automatic)
Comfortable driving in tight or confined spaces
Ability to follow strict port safety procedures
Good communication and ability to follow instructions
Team player with a proactive and flexible attitude
Experience discharging vehicles from vessels is advantageous but not essential
Previous port or Ro-Ro terminal experience is a bonusImmediate starts available for the right candidates.
