Teacher of Religious Education

Contract: Full-time / Part-time considered
The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and reflective Teacher of Religious Education to join a supportive and forward-thinking secondary school in the Corby area. This is an excellent opportunity for a committed practitioner who is passionate about developing students' understanding of religion, belief, ethics, and values in a diverse society.
You will teach Religious Education across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 for a suitably experienced candidate.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging and thought-provoking RE lessons in line with the agreed syllabus
Develop students' knowledge of world religions, philosophy, and ethics
Promote respectful discussion, critical thinking, and reflection
Assess, track, and monitor pupil progress to inform teaching and intervention
Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils
Maintain high expectations for behaviour and engagement
Contribute to the ongoing development of the RE curriculum
The Ideal Candidate
Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - this is essential
Has strong subject knowledge in Religious Education
Is committed to inclusive education and promoting tolerance and respect
Demonstrates effective classroom and behaviour management
Works collaboratively and positively as part of a team
Suitable for both experienced teachers and those recently qualified
