Teaching Assistant – Year 1/2 (Phonics & SEMH)

Class Mate is working with a welcoming primary school who are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to support within their Year 1/2 team, starting from 24th February (following an INSET day).
This role would suit a TA with Little Wandle phonics experience and confidence supporting children with SEMH needs.
The role:

Supporting pupils across Year 1/2 within the classroom and in small groups
*
Delivering and reinforcing Little Wandle phonics interventions
*
Supporting children with SEMH needs, including emotional regulation and behaviour
*
Working closely with the class teacher and KS1 team
*
Helping to create a calm, structured, and supportive learning environment
The ideal candidate will:
*
Have experience working in KS1
*
Have Little Wandle training or strong phonics knowledge
*
Be confident supporting pupils with SEMH needs
*
Be calm, patient, and consistent
*
Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply)
