Social Worker - Children's Family Front Door Worcestershire County Council Pay Rate: £33.30 per hour (Umbrella) Full-Time | Agency Contract Are you an experienced Social Worker with strong frontline skills and a passion for supporting children, young people, and families? Worcestershire County Council is seeking a highly skilled professional to join its Children's Family Front Door service. About the Role As part of ongoing Social Care reforms, Worcestershire County Council is strengthening and expanding its Children's Family Front Door. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Social Worker to join a well-established, supportive, and forward-thinking team committed to ensuring children and families receive the right help at the right time. Key responsibilities include: Processing referrals from partner agencies, parents, carers, and professionals Analysing complex information to make timely, proportionate recommendations Applying the Worcestershire Levels of Need Guidance to determine appropriate pathways Working collaboratively with multi-agency partners to safeguard and support children Managing a fast-paced workload requiring strong written and analytical skillsYou will be primarily based within one of the following district areas: Redditch/Wychavon, Worcester/Malvern, or Bromsgrove/Wyre Forest. This localised approach helps build strong relationships with partner agencies and enhances your understanding of community services available to families. What We're Looking For We welcome applications from Social Workers who can demonstrate: A solid level of post-qualifying social work experience Frontline experience working with children, young people, and families Strong engagement skills and the ability to build rapport quickly Excellent written, analytical, and decision-making abilities Confidence in assessing risk and identifying appropriate interventions A reflective, curious, and child-centred approach to practice Essential Requirements Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent At least 3 years' experience as a Social Worker within Children's Services as a Permanent Social Worker within an England Local Authority Social Work England Registration Driving licence and access to your own vehicle Why Join Worcestershire County Council?
