Job Description

This role is ideal for a tutor who understands the importance of relationship emotional safety, and flexible learning, and who is confident supporting a learner who is not currently accessing a mainstream school setting. The Role Provide 1:1 tuition in a low student environment Prioritise building trust and confidence before introducing academic learning Support gradual rewith education Adapt learning to suit the individuals pace, interests, and emotional needs Introduce academic content sensitively once the learner is ready Encourage motivation and positive attitudes towards future learning and qualifications Essential Requirements Minimum of 6 months experience working within a UK based educational setting Ability to build positive relationships with young people Patient, flexible, and emotionally aware approach Confidence working 1:1 and adapting sessions as needed Desirable Experience Experience supporting pupils with EBSA Experience working with SEN, including anxiety needs Background in alternative provision, home tutoring, or pastoral support What Were Looking For A tutor who wont rush into academics Someone who can create a safe, calm, and predictable learning environment A reflective practitioner who adapts their approach based on what works for the student Someone who values progress in confidence and engagement as much as academic outcomes If you are passionate about supporting young people who face barriers to education and can offer a calm, nurturing 1:1 approach, we would love to hear from you
