The Opportunity
An established building services consultancy is looking to appoint an Electrical Design Engineer on a contract basis to support a strong pipeline of work. The role will focus primarily on retail projects for major blue-chip clients, including large national retailers.
This is an initial 6-month contract, with the potential for ongoing work for the foreseeable future for the right individual.
The Role
You will be responsible for delivering electrical building services designs across retail-led projects, working closely with internal teams and clients in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Produce electrical designs and technical documentation for building services projects
Support projects from concept through detailed design stages
Coordinate with other MEP disciplines to ensure integrated design solutions
Ensure designs comply with relevant standards and client requirements
Respond to design queries and support project delivery as required
Key Requirements
Proven experience as an Electrical Design Engineer within building services
Strong understanding of MEP design principles
Experience working on retail projects is highly desirable
Comfortable working in a hybrid environment
Good communication skills and ability to work independently
