Site Engineer Major Infrastructure Project | Near Failand, Bristol | Long-Term Contract
The Opportunity
This is a serious long-term Site Engineer role on a major infrastructure scheme near Failand, Bristol, with a minimum 3-year programme and plenty of variety to keep things interesting.
We’re looking for an experienced Site Engineer who enjoys being at the sharp end of delivery. This is a large, complex project with multiple workstreams running in parallel — ideal for someone who likes responsibility, autonomy and seeing a job through from start to finish.
The Project
You’ll be working on a substantial infrastructure and public realm scheme, including:
New build major roads
Section 278 works
Earthworks
Drainage
Hard landscaping
Lakes and ponds
Underground car park It’s a technically varied project with a long programme and no stop-start nonsense.
The Role
As Site Engineer, you’ll play a key role in day-to-day site delivery, working closely with site management and subcontractors to keep the job running safely, accurately and to programme.
Key duties will include:
Setting out all aspects of the works
Managing and maintaining Health & Safety standards on site
Quality assurance and compliance checks
Materials testing and recording results
Maintaining a detailed site diary
Attending and contributing to weekly progress meetings
Reviewing drawings and raising any technical or buildability issues
Working collaboratively with site management and subcontractors About You
This role suits a proven Site Engineer with solid civils and infrastructure experience.
You’ll bring:
MUST be local to Bristol - No subsistence on offer
Strong setting-out capability
Experience working on infrastructure, highways or civil engineering projects
Good understanding of H&S and quality processes
Confidence reviewing drawings and resolving issues on site
Clear communication skills and a proactive approach Rate & Package
£325 per day - £375 per day
Outside IR35 - CIS or Ltd company accepted
