Job Description

Recovery Coordinator £18 per hour Location: Erith DA8 Clearance Required: Enhanced DBS Caseload of approx. c40/45. Hours of work: Mon - fri 09:00 - 17:00, every other Tuesday 11:30 - 19:30. Make a Real Difference in People’s Recovery Journeys We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Recovery Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will support individuals affected by drug and alcohol misuse at every stage of their recovery — from initial assessment and engagement through structured treatment and into sustained recovery. (This includes providing 121 sessions, group sessions, triage's / assessments, supporting clients on OST medication) This is a varied and rewarding position where you will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care that promotes long-term positive outcomes. What You’ll Be Doing * Managing a caseload of service users, developing and reviewing personalised recovery and treatment plans. * Conducting triage, screening and comprehensive assessments. * Delivering evidence-based psychosocial interventions (including MI, CBT, PSIs and ITEP) in both one-to-one and group settings. * Undertaking risk assessments, safeguarding assessments and creating robust risk management plans. * Working closely with partner agencies to ensure coordinated care and smooth progression through treatment pathways. * Supporting families, carers and children by reducing the impact of substance-related harm and encouraging positive family involvement in recovery. * Facilitating access to community services and resources to build recovery capital and social inclusion. * Participating in drug screening, duty work, harm reduction initiatives, BBV testing/immunisation services and needle exchange programmes. * Maintaining accurate and timely records using an online case management system. * Promoting peer support opportunities and visible recovery across the service. * Engaging in ongoing professional development, supervision and training. About You You will bring: * Experience working with individuals affected by problematic drug and/or alcohol use. * A strong understanding of the complex needs associated with substance misuse, including mental health, physical health, legal, parenting and family support needs. * The ability to assess risk, develop effective management plans and monitor recovery outcomes. * Experience delivering structured interventions such as Motivational Interviewing (MI), CBT, PSIs and ITEP. * Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to protecting vulnerable individuals. * Strong communication skills, with the ability to build professional, boundaried relationships. * Confidence managing a busy caseload and maintaining accurate case records. * Respect for diversity and a commitment to promoting equality and challenging discrimination. * IT skills including Microsoft Word and Outlook (experience with case management systems is desirable). Qualifications Essential: * NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) or willingness to work towards this qualification. * Must have an up to DBS, If on updated service the original paper copy must also be uploaded.
