1:1 Tutors – St Helens (Rainford and surrounding areas) £25–£28 per hour | Flexible hours | Immediate starts available Are you a caring, patient and motivated educator who wants to make a genuine difference to young people’s lives? We are looking for 1:1 Tutors in St Helens and surrounding areas to support children and young people who are not currently accessing mainstream education. You’ll work with learners with SEND, SEMH needs, Looked After Children (LAC) or pupils with EHCPs, helping them rebuild confidence, engagement, and a love of learning. The Role As a 1:1 Tutor, you will deliver personalised learning to pupils who require a tailored approach. This includes: Teaching English, Maths or Science at KS2–KS4 Planning engaging sessions based on the National Curriculum Supporting learners with SEND or SEMH needs, including anxiety, ASD, ADHD or trauma‑related barriers Helping children gradually transition back into school or structured learning Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils and families Creating a safe, encouraging environment that supports progress This role is ideal for teachers, tutors, HLTA/TAs or learning mentors with strong subject knowledge and a passion for making an impact.
