Reception Teacher - Maternity Cover

Salary: Paid in line with Teacher Pay Scales
A welcoming and supportive Primary School in Horwich, Bolton (BL6) is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Reception Teacher to join their Early Years team on a maternity cover basis starting in the summer term.
To ensure a smooth transition, the successful candidate will be invited to start from Monday 30th March for a handover period alongside the current class teacher. This provides an excellent opportunity to familiarise yourself with the class, routines, and planning ahead of the new term.
The Role:
Full teaching responsibility for a Reception class
Planning, delivering, and assessing engaging EYFS lessons
Marking and monitoring pupil progress
Attending and contributing to staff meetings
Creating a positive, nurturing, and structured classroom environment
Working closely with the Early Years team and support staff
Supporting children's academic, social, and emotional development
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Have experience teaching within Early Years (Reception desirable)
Demonstrate strong classroom management and organisational skills
Have a sound understanding of the EYFS framework
Be enthusiastic, patient, and committed to high standards of teaching
Work effectively as part of a collaborative team
