A contract position Outside IR35 Hybrid working - 3 days p/w on site typically A Senior Mechanical Design Engineer specialising in New Product Introduction (NPI) on a contract basis. This is a unique opportunity to apply your expertise in mechanical design engineering to shape the next generation of advanced automotive components. Key Responsibilities: Clean-sheet mechanical design and development of rotating electrical machines, transmissions and drivetrains. Design work may also include pumps, fans, power electronics and batteries as required. Exploration, design development, prototyping and testing of concepts. Mechanical analysis of conceptual designs (including CAE), demonstrating a strong understanding of likely component failure modes and material strengths. Build and test of prototype hardware and test rigs as necessary.
