Report to the Head of Environment and SustainabilityThe Utilities Manager is the key point of expertise for utilities management within the Property Services Directorate (PSD). The role is responsible for both strategic and day-to-day operational management of utilities (energy and water) across an estate of approximately 300 properties, with an annual budget of around £30m. This includes managing supplier relationships, validating and approving invoices, ensuring continuity of supply, and supporting statutory and voluntary energy/carbon reporting. The Utilities Manager not only plays a critical role in ensuring continuity of utilities supply but also achieving cost efficiencies and supporting carbon reduction objectives across the estate.
