Astute's Power Team are currently recruiting for 6x Mechanical Commissioning Technicians to join the EPC Contractor on the decommissioning of a CHP plant based in Purfleet. The 6x Mechanical Commissioning Technician roles come with a day rate from £400.00 to £450.00 per day outside of IR35. Role responsibilities and key skills for the role: Carry out mechanical commissioning and decommissioning activities on CHP plant systems, including safe shutdown, isolation, and preparation of equipment for dismantling. Assist with the decommissioning of gas engines and/or gas turbines, including controlled run-downs, fluid draining, preservation, and disconnection of mechanical systems. Perform mechanical inspections, condition assessments, and verification of plant status prior to and during decommissioning works.
