Job Description: Mechanical Technician Location: Abingdon, Oxfordshire Contract: 12 months, Inside IR35 Overview: * Primarily to support the Load Assembly Team during shutdown, including preparation for shutdown activities. Secondarily to support general mechanical tasks within the Tokamak Systems Unit when required. Mechanical systems to include vacuum, cooling, pressurised and electro-magnetic. This shall include construction of new systems and maintenance of existing systems including fault finding, and repair. Purpose of the role: To work as part of the Building Services Team on response maintenance work and, when directed, on elements of the planned programme and capital works under the direction of the Building Service Manager. The postholder will lead and direct multi-disciplinary design teams to deliver construction, improvement and refurbishment projects from feasibility to completion.
