We are looking for two experienced Quality Inspectors to support a a project on-site at a customers facility in South Somerset. The role will involve visual, manual, Faro and CMM inspection of manufactured components and assemblies. You will need strong mechanical inspection skills, the ability to work from engineering drawings and with the ability to operate CMM equipment (Aberlink preferrable). Key Responsibilities Perform manual inspection using micrometers, verniers, height gauges, bore gauges and other conventional metrology equipment against drawing and specification requirements Interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, specifications and GD&T requirement and in turn perform inspection using appropriate inspection methods and establish measurements from first principles. The support will involve programming and operating Mitutoyo CMM machines using MCOSMOS software and/or Aberlink CMM machines. Where there are no no existing CMM programmes, candidates will use their experience and be competent in creating programmes from engineering drawings, setting up components and completing dimensional inspection activities independently.
