Title: Social Worker - Family First Division: Children's Services Grade: L7 - M1 PURPOSE OF THE ROLE To work within a multi-disciplinary Family Help Team delivering early help and child in need services. The team includes social workers, family help practitioners, psychologists, police community support officers, CAMHS workers, adult mental health nurses, health visitors, youth workers, housing officers and voluntary sector partners. The organisation has grown since that time providing not only safe and secure accommodation to women and children escaping domestic abuse, but also provides specific an Advice Line Services and Outreach. We currently have an opportunity for a Children and Young Peoples Worker, additional needs specialist, to join Peterborough Women’s Aid. You will provide practical and emotional support to children and young people who have additional needs and are living in our refuge. You will need a flexible approach to supporting children and young people as you maybe required to undertake some work outside of office hours.
