A client of mine are looking for an interim Trading Standards Officer, and within this role you will play a vital role in protecting consumers and ensuring businesses operate fairly and legally. This position involves investigating complaints, inspecting goods and services to confirm they meet safety and legal standards, and tackling issues such as counterfeit products, misleading advertising, and scams. You’ll also provide advice to businesses on compliance with consumer protection laws and take enforcement action where necessary, which may include issuing warnings, fines, or pursuing legal proceedings.
