Highways Lawyer - 21 hours per week Job Purpose: To contribute to the provision of a comprehensive legal service to the client and its Officers. The client is a unitary authority and the local highway authority for its area. 1. To provide a comprehensive and professional legal service in all aspects of adult social care law. 2. To serve as a key source of expertise and knowledge on in the relevant legal discipline 3. To provide legal advice, guidance and practical assistance over the whole range of the Council’s adult social care service focusing on Court of Protection work as well as ancillary matters such as ordinary residence, responsibilities under the Care Act 2014; on Local Government Administration and Judicial Review Proceedings. 4. Conducting a full range of adult’s service cases, including those raising complex or major issues and to undertaking advocacy in the Courts and Tribunals, where rights of audience permit this. 5.
