The positions that we have available currently are suitable for Recovery Workers/Drug and Alcohol workers with outreach experience. The role is working with homelessness and candidates sleeping rough with drug and alcohol issues. You will be working within the drop-in service when required, also carrying out holistic group work. The position will include you carrying out outreach patrols across Merton, working with teams from the local authority and engaging with partners across the borough, you will be required to carry out assessments within the role and also when required carry out duty cover. The position is full-time, working Monday to Friday for 37.5h a week from the hours of 9am to 5pm - initially the role is a 3 month contract but likely to be extended past this for those that impress. We currently seeking a Substance Misuse Recovery Worker for our client in Croydon on a 3 month contract to start ASAP. The rate of pay will be negotiated between £22-23 an hour. This will be Full Time Contract, Monday to Friday from 09:00-17:00. As a Recovery Worker you will be required to: * Supporting service users from point of entry into the service and through their treatment/recovery journey; * Providing screening, assessment, and recovery planning and onward referral; * Reducing alcohol related harm to service users and the wider community; * Promoting carer, service user and community involvement; * Providing advocacy for access to partnership services; * Working with service users to support social (re)integration, enabling them to lead meaningful and purposeful lives: promoting recovery, resilience, peer support and self determination.
