Overview of the role We are seeking an experienced Highways Inspector to join our Local Authority client on a short-term secondment. This role is critical in ensuring our statutory duties are met by carrying out routine inspections and responding promptly to reported issues across the borough. Responsibilities and Duties Complete routine inspections of highways, footways, street furniture, and other highway assets at required intervals. Identify and report defects or issues, ensuring timely resolution. Attend sites to assess reported faults on council-managed and privately-owned assets. Provide expert advice and guidance on highways and street work to colleagues, supporting risk identification and decision-making.
