We are recruiting for HGV Class 1 Drivers to work for our client in Garretts Green, Birmingham. There are both automotive and general haulage roles available at this client. General haulage work consists of either flatbed or curtain side delivery, 1-3 drops per day ratchet strapping, usually starting between 03:00 and 06:00. Shifts tend to last around 12 hours, and if you are willing to do nights out, these can be organised also. Our client are looking for a Class 2 Driver with a Moffett licence for work out of the Perry Barr area. The job will start on a temporary basis with a permanent contract on offer for the right applicant. The client will also need someone for regular holiday cover and extra workload if a permanent position doesn't appeal. We can accept PAYE or Self employed drivers for the temporary work but for the permanent position that would only be for PAYE drivers. The work is driving a Curtain Sided vehicle doing Multi Drop deliveries but on occasions will be a distance run with fewer drops. The majority of the work is offloaded using the moffett vehicle but for other items ther may be a little manual work.
