Mechanical Design Engineer - Greater Manchester Our client has an open requirement for a Mechanical Design Engineer on a 6 month contract basis with the possibility for further extension. This will operate on an outside IR35 basis so limited company contractors will be able to operate, and a rate between £35 and £43 per hour is expected, subject to level of experience and suitability. Candidates will be required to work in the office full time initially and then switch to a hybrid model of 3 days office based and 2 from home after a few weeks’ orientation. The client is looking for a good engineering background first and foremost with strong experience and knowledge of typical mechanical equipment and terminology including: Limits and fittings, bearings, linear guides, GD&T’s, rotating equipment, and automated equipment such as motors, gearboxes, and drives.
