Embedded UAV Flight Control Engineer Location: Blandford Forum (Onsite) Contract Type: 6 Month Contract Rate: £45 per hour (Outside IR35) We are seeking an experienced Embedded Engineer to support the development of an advanced unmanned aerial platform. This role focuses on embedded flight control software, electronics integration, and real-time system validation within a hands-on engineering environment. Key Responsibilities • Develop and enhance embedded flight control software (PX4 / ArduPilot or similar flight stacks). • Integrate and debug hardware interfaces including SPI, I2C, CAN and UART. • Support hardware bring-up and board-level debugging of flight control electronics. • Implement and optimise real-time messaging and driver-level functionality. • Contribute to fail-safe and system robustness strategies. • Conduct bench and hardware-in-the-loop testing. • Work closely with electronics and systems teams to support integration activities.
