Aspire People are working with a supportive primary school in Salford, seeking an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils in Key Stage 2 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.
This role is ideal for someone confident in managing behaviour, building strong relationships and implementing structured intervention strategies.
Your Responsibilities:
Supporting pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs.
Delivering targeted Maths and English interventions.
Using de-escalation strategies to manage challenging behaviour.
Encouraging resilience, independence and positive choices.
Supporting transition times and unstructured parts of the school day.
Liaising with the SENCO and pastoral team.
The Ideal Candidate:
Experience supporting SEMH or behavioural needs in the last 2 years.
Confident behaviour management skills.
Team-Teach trained (desirable but not essential).
Resilient, adaptable and proactive.
Strong communication skills.
