Teaching Personnel are working closely with a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Salford who are looking to appoint a dedicated and resilient SEMH Learning Support Assistant to join their supportive team.
This PRU caters for pupils aged 11–16 who have been excluded or are at risk of exclusion from mainstream education, often due to Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and challenging behaviour. The staff team are passionate about providing a safe, nurturing environment where every young person can re-engage with learning and make positive progress.
Your Role:
Support pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis, helping them manage emotions and behaviour.
Build strong, trusting relationships with students to encourage engagement and positive outcomes.
Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral staff to implement tailored support plans.
Promote a calm and inclusive environment where pupils can develop both academically and socially.
