LEAD CLOUD ENGINEER Role Overview Hackney Council is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Cloud Engineer to take overall responsibility for the design, delivery and optimisation of self-service cloud infrastructure and tooling. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring cloud applications and services remain secure, high performing, sustainable, and deliver an excellent user experience for engineers, suppliers and stakeholders. A summary of the responsibilities of the post: 1. Overall responsibility for the design, delivery and optimisation of self-service cloud infrastructure and tooling to ensure that our cloud applications and services are secure, high performing and sustainable, and the delivery of a high quality user experience for software engineers, suppliers and other users needing access to cloud infrastructure. 2. Responsible for continued development and maintenance of our multi-cloud platform (AWS and Google), recognised as a robust and mature cloud platform within the public sector, as well as automating processes to improve efficiency. 3.
