We have a permanent position available for a Procurement Project Officer to work with a Local Authority based in South West London. This is a hybrid role where the successful candidate will be expected to be in the office 3 days a week. The role will predominantly focus on the council’s Medium-Term Financial Strategy and ensure value for money across the procurement cycle.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Build and maintain relationships with clients to ensure effective progression throughout the procurement lifecycle
* Manage the spend analysis of the procurement plans
* Produce reports on procurement projects for senior members of staff
* Develop processes and procedures for the procurement systems
Candidate requirements:
* MCIPS qualification (or working towards)
* Previous experience of working within a similar role for another Local Authority or within the Public Sector
