As a former teacher for 15 years with QTS in Sri Lanka in secondary education, I possess a great deal of knowledge about supporting and educating young children.
I am anxious to work with my knowledge and experience in the classroom. I love children. I am a patient educator and enjoy guiding young ones along their academic path. I am creative and confident. My high-energy, friendly personality makes me a well-received addition to the classroom. I am capable of taking on all areas of classroom duty from assisting with putting together bulletin boards to help individual students with projects.
As an experienced teaching assistant in the UK, I have a passion for supporting children with all aspects of school life. In my previous teaching assistant roles, my daily tasks included encouraging students, assisting with learning, and providing support to the class teachers. This role has appealed to me as I have a keen desire to continue learning, as well as assist students and teachers in all aspects inside and outside of the classroom.
I have been a mentor to many students to achieve high academic achievements. I am able to recognize the learning difficulties and slow learners in the classroom and work accordingly. As I am very concerned about student discipline, I can help improve it among students.
I’m anxious to begin working as part of an educational team and know that I would be a tremendous asset in the Learning Support Assistant position at your school.
