Higher Level Teaching Assistant Location: Greenwich E14 Contract: Long-term Day Rate: £110-£128 (dependent on experience) Start Date: ASAP Commutable From: Lewisham, Bexley, Southwark, Bromley, Woolwich, Eltham The Opportunity Long Term Futures are working with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Greenwich seeking a confident and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone ready to take on more responsibility, including leading lessons, delivering interventions, and supporting students across KS3 and KS4. The school has a strong focus on inclusive practice, behaviour support and academic progress, making it ideal for an experienced a HLTA looking to make a real impact. Your Key Responsibilities Deliver pre-planned lessons across KS3 & KS4 in the absence of the class teacher Provide high-quality support to students with SEN, including EHCP requirements Support behaviour management and maintain a calm, structured learning environment Adapt resources and teaching approaches to meet individual learning needs Contribute to planning and assessment where required Requirements HLTA qualification or significant experience in a similar role Experience working in a secondary school setting Confident leading classes and delivering lessons independently Strong behaviour management and communication skills Experience supporting students with SEN (e.g. Autism, ADHD, SEMH) Proactive, adaptable and committed to student progress Why Long Term Futures?
