Job Description

We are recruiting for an experienced Construction Project Manager to deliver projects up to £10m in value within one of the UK’s most significant infrastructure programmes in Somerset. The role is with a well-established construction contractor specialising in commercial buildings, modular construction, and complex infrastructure schemes. The business has a strong track record working within highly regulated and secure environments, delivering projects to the highest standards of safety, quality, and programme control. The works are located within a major nuclear and energy development, one of the largest construction projects in Europe, focused on delivering next-generation energy infrastructure. This environment demands a high level of professionalism, planning, and compliance, offering exposure to technically complex and high-profile projects. The Role As Project Manager, you will take full responsibility for the end-to-end delivery of construction projects within the wider programme. You will oversee projects from pre-construction through to completion, managing site teams, subcontractors, programme delivery, and commercial performance, while ensuring strict compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities * Full project lifecycle management from inception to handover * Planning, programming, and resource allocation * Managing site teams, subcontractors, and supply chain * Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget * Liaising with clients, stakeholders, and project teams * Managing risk, quality, and compliance within a highly regulated environment * Overseeing project reporting, cost control, and progress tracking * Driving high standards of health & safety and site performance Requirements * Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager on commercial or infrastructure projects * Experience delivering projects up to £10m in value * Strong leadership and organisational skills * Experience working in high-compliance or secure environments desirable Essential Qualifications: * SMSTS * CSCS Card (Manager level preferred) * First Aid at Work What’s on Offer * Opportunity to work on one of the UK’s largest infrastructure developments * Long-term, stable workload with a strong project pipeline * Competitive salary and package * Career progression within a growing and specialist contractor * Exposure to technically challenging and high-value schemes
