Cover Teacher (Secondary School)
Location: Cheshunt, Hertfordshire
Job Type: Flexible (Full-time & Part-time available)
Pay: £140 – £210 per day (dependent on experience)
About the Role
We are seeking reliable and enthusiastic Cover Teachers to work in a welcoming secondary school in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire. This is a flexible role offering both full-time and part-time opportunities, ideal for teachers looking for daily supply work or a better work-life balance.
As a Cover Teacher, you will deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects, ensuring continuity of learning in the absence of the regular class teacher.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver pre-set lessons across KS3 and KS4
* Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment
* Manage classroom behaviour effectively
* Ensure students remain engaged and on task
* Adapt quickly to different subjects and classroom settings
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is desirable but not essential
* Previous experience working in a secondary school setting
* Strong classroom management skills
* Flexible, reliable, and adaptable approach
* Ability to build rapport with students quickly
