About the Role
A friendly and welcoming primary school in Burnley is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support their Year 1 class from September. This is a full‑time position for the entire academic year, offering the chance to work closely with young learners during a key stage of their development.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the class teacher with daily learning activities and routines
* Work with pupils 1:1, in small groups, and during whole‑class sessions
* Assist with early literacy, phonics, maths, and play‑based learning
* Help maintain a calm, inclusive, and well‑organised classroom
Requirements
* Experience working in KS1, ideally Year 1
* Understanding of phonics and early learning approaches
* Warm, patient, and supportive approach
