Freelance General Foreman
Residential Groundworks
Locations: Doncaster & Hull
Rate: £280 – £300 per shift
Start: ASAP – Duration, ongoing
My client, a well-established and reputable groundworks contractor, is currently seeking an experienced Freelance General Foreman to oversee residential groundwork projects across the Doncaster and Hull regions.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced General Foreman with strong leadership skills and a solid background in housing infrastructure and groundworks.
Key Responsibilities:
• Overseeing day-to-day site operations on residential groundwork projects
• Managing gangs, subcontractors, and plant on site
• Ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification
• Coordinating with Site Managers and Contracts Managers
• Maintaining high standards of health & safety and site organisation
• Reporting progress and resolving any on-site issues
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a General Foreman within residential groundworks
• Strong knowledge of foundations, drainage, and external works
• SSSTS or SMSTS certification
• CSCS card (essential)
• First Aid (preferred)
• Ability to lead teams and drive productivity on site
