Conducting Fire Risk Assessments: Identifying potential fire hazards and implementing measures to mitigate risks - Monitoring Hot Works and Flammable Materials: Ensuring safe storage and handling of materials - Leading Evacuations: Guiding workers to safety during emergencies - Coordinating with Emergency Services: Providing critical information to fire crews - Maintaining Records: Keeping fire safety logs, drill reports, and inspection notes up-to-date - Training and Awareness: Educating employees on fire safety protocols and procedures To be effective, Fire Marshals should have: - Relevant Training: Fire Marshal certification, such as NEBOSH or IOSH - Construction Experience: Familiarity with EFW projects and UK regulations - Communication Skills: Ability to convey safety information clearly - Problem-Solving: Capacity to respond to emergencies and adapt to changing situations
