Job Description

Overview We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee a residential development in Burgess Hill, comprising a mix of timber frame housing and a traditional build tower block. This is a long-term opportunity for a hands-on professional with a strong background in traditional construction methods and multi-unit residential delivery. Key Responsibilities * Lead the delivery of a mixed residential scheme including timber frame houses and a traditional RC / masonry tower block * Manage projects from pre-construction through to completion and handover * Oversee site teams including Site Managers, Engineers, and subcontractors * Ensure works are delivered in line with programme, budget, and quality expectations * Coordinate with design, commercial, and client teams to drive project progress * Monitor and manage subcontractor performance and site productivity * Maintain high standards of health & safety compliance and site operations * Attend and lead client meetings, progress reviews, and reporting * Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies Requirements * Proven experience as a Project Manager on residential developments * Strong background in traditional build construction (essential) * Experience delivering multi-storey / tower block projects * Exposure to timber frame housing (preferred) * Ability to manage multiple workstreams and site teams simultaneously * Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills * Good understanding of UK building regulations and construction processes Qualifications * SMSTS * CSCS (Black Card or equivalent) * First Aid (preferred) * Relevant construction qualification (HNC / Degree or equivalent) Additional Information * Long-term role offering stability and continuity * Opportunity to work on a varied residential scheme combining different build methods * Ideal for a hands-on Project Manager who is comfortable being site-based and driving delivery
