Private Sector Housing Officer – South East (6-Month Contract)
Rate: £42–£45 per hour

We are seeking an experienced Private Sector Housing Officer to join a local authority team in the South East on a 6-month contract. The role will primarily involve:
* Conducting Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) inspections
* Investigating complaints and enforcing housing standards in the private rented sector
* Taking appropriate enforcement action under the Housing Act 2004
* Liaising with landlords, tenants, and partner agencies to improve housing conditions
Requirements:
* Proven experience in private sector housing enforcement
* Up-to-date knowledge of housing legislation and HHSRS
* Strong communication and case management skills
* Relevant qualification in Environmental Health or Housing
