Humanities Teacher – Secondary School – Manchester TeacherActive is proud to be working with a forward-thinking secondary school in Manchester, who are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Humanities Teacher to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a committed teacher with a passion for subjects such as History, Geography, or Religious Education, who is eager to inspire and engage students across Key Stages 3 and 4. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging Humanities lessons in line with the national curriculum Teach across KS3 and KS4 (specialism in History, Geography or RE welcomed) Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners, including SEND and EAL students Assess, monitor, and track student progress effectively Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies Contribute to the wider school community and departmental development Uphold safeguarding and child protection responsibilities at all times Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Experience teaching Humanities subjects within a UK secondary school Strong subject knowledge and curriculum understanding Effective classroom and behaviour management skills A commitment to inclusive teaching and student achievement Excellent communication and organisational skills What the School Offers: A supportive and collaborative Humanities department Opportunities for professional development and career progression A positive and inclusive school environment Well-resourced classrooms and facilities This role would suit both experienced teachers and ECTs looking to develop their career within a supportive secondary school in Manchester.
