This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire a love of literature and language across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential for KS5 depending on experience.
The Role:
The successful candidate will deliver engaging and high-quality English lessons, helping students develop strong reading, writing, and analytical skills. You will play a key role in fostering a positive learning environment and supporting pupils to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver creative and engaging English lessons in line with the national curriculum
Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
Support students in developing literacy, comprehension, and critical thinking skills
Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including SEND and EAL pupils
Manage classroom behaviour effectively to create a focused learning environment
Contribute to the wider school community and extracurricular activities
Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and promote student wellbeing
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience teaching English in a UK secondary school setting
Strong subject knowledge across literature and language
Effective classroom management skills
A passion for inspiring young people through English
A commitment to safeguarding and child protection
