ASC Support Assistant - Wavertree

Job Description

Location: Wavertree (L15) Salary: £14.25–£15.00 per hour Hours: 8:30am–3:30pm, Monday to Friday We are currently working in partnership with a local primary school in the Wavertree area, who are seeking an experienced member of support staff to join their team on a temporary basis. There is potential for this role to become permanent for the right candidate. The role involves supporting a number of Key Stage 1 pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and complex additional needs, including managing behavioural challenges. Key Responsibilities Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with ASC and additional needs Implement effective behaviour management strategies and encourage active participation Work closely with teaching staff and the SENCo to deliver personalised learning plans Monitor pupil progress and provide regular feedback to staff and parents Create and maintain a safe, supportive and stimulating learning environment Requirements Previous experience supporting children with ASC and behavioural needs A calm, patient and empathetic approach Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one If you are passionate about making a positive difference and have the experience required to support children with complex needs, we would love to hear from you.
