Site Engineer

Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to join a leading civil engineering contractor on a major earthworks package. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a large-scale infrastructure scheme, delivering bulk earthworks and associated civil engineering works. Site Engineer Roles & Responsibilities: * Managing engineering activities across a large earthworks package * Carrying out and overseeing all setting out duties using GPS and total station equipment * Ensuring works are delivered in line with programme and technical specifications * Reviewing and managing site documentation including RAMS, ITPs, permits, and QA records * Maintaining accurate QA/QC records and completing inspection and test plans * Coordinating daily site operations alongside the Site Agent and Project Manager * Monitoring quality of works and ensuring compliance with design specifications * Supervising subcontractors and ensuring work is carried out safely and efficiently * Supporting progress reporting and maintaining detailed site records * Assisting with planning, sequencing, and logistics of earthworks operations Site Engineer Requirements: * Previous experience as a Site Engineer on earthworks or heavy civils projects * Strong setting out experience (GPS, total station, machine control preferred) * Good understanding of QA/QC processes and site documentation * Experience working with bulk earthworks, cut & fill, or ground remediation * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications * Relevant qualification (HNC/HND/Degree in Civil Engineering or similar) * Valid CSCS card * SMSTS or SSSTS preferred * Strong communication and organisational skills To apply for this Site Engineer role, please submit your up-to-date CV and a member of the team will be in touch
