Nursery Teaching Assistant Location: NP7 and surrounding areas Start Date: May 2026 Pay: From £92.63 per day Job Type: Full‑time / Term‑time only About the Role Primary schools across the NP7 area are seeking caring, proactive, and enthusiastic Nursery Teaching Assistants to support children in their early years (Nursery/Reception). This role is ideal for individuals passionate about working with young children and contributing to their early learning and development. Key Responsibilities Support the class teacher within Nursery or Reception classes Assist children with early phonics, communication, and play‑based learning Encourage independence, confidence, and positive social interaction Set up and supervise learning activities indoors and outdoors Provide 1:1 or small‑group support depending on pupil needs Promote positive behaviour and follow safeguarding procedures What We’re Looking For Experience working with young children (desirable) A nurturing, patient, and enthusiastic approach Strong communication and teamwork skills Understanding of the EYFS framework (advantageous but not essential) Level 2/3 TA or childcare qualification welcome but not required What We Offer Competitive daily rate starting from £92.63 Supportive primary school environments Ongoing training and opportunities for development A rewarding role making a meaningful difference to early learners How to Apply If you are passionate about supporting early years education in a primary school setting in NP7, we’d love to hear from you.
