Neighbourhood Officer (Housing Officer)
Contract – 6 months (likely extension)
We are currently partnering with a local authority to recruit an experienced Neighbourhood Officer to support the delivery of a high-quality housing management service.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a housing professional with strong tenancy management experience to take ownership of a defined patch and make a real impact within the community.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a designated patch of properties, acting as the main point of contact for tenants
* Deliver a proactive tenancy management service, including tenancy sustainment and enforcement
* Investigate and manage anti-social behaviour (ASB) cases from initial report through to resolution
* Carry out estate inspections and identify breaches of tenancy or environmental issues
* Work closely with internal teams and external agencies to support vulnerable residents
* Prepare cases for legal action where required, including attending court if necessary
About You:
* Proven experience in a housing management / neighbourhood officer role
* Strong knowledge of tenancy law and ASB case management
* Experience managing a varied caseload independently
* Confident working with external partners and dealing with complex cases
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
