Team Leader – Grounds Maintenance
Location: Ormskirk L40
Salary: £13 – £13.50 per hour | Temp to Perm
Hours: 7.30am – 3.00pm (currently) | From April 6.30am – 4.00pm
About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a trusted grounds maintenance company in Lancashire, who are looking for an experienced Team Leader. This is a hands-on role leading a small team and delivering high-quality grounds care across a variety of sites. If you have experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or horticulture, and enjoy organising teams, this could be a great fit.
What You’ll Do

Lead a small team of grounds maintenance operatives on site
*
Plan and organise daily work schedules
*
Operate and maintain groundskeeping machinery and equipment
*
Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed
*
Carry out practical grounds maintenance tasks, including mowing, hedge trimming, and fertilising
*
Report progress and any issues to management
What We’re Looking For
*
Full driving licence
*
PA1 and PA6 spraying licences
*
Experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, horticulture, or similar roles
*
Leadership skills and ability to manage a small team
*
Reliable, organised, and proactive approach
