Site-based Project Manager - Fire Protection

Job Description

A leading fire protection contractor has secured a multi-million pound NHS project in Gloucester and is looking to appoint a Site-Based Project Manager to lead delivery from early-stage survey through to completion. This is a long-term, single-site role (minimum 12 months), offering full ownership of the project lifecycle within a well-supported structure — including dedicated design and admin resource. You’ll take the lead on a subcontractor-driven programme covering both active and passive fire works, working directly with NHS stakeholders to drive programme, quality, and site standards. Key responsibilities * Day-to-day management of site activity and subcontractors * Coordinating multiple workstreams across fire and M&E elements * Client liaison with NHS stakeholders and project teams * Managing H&S, quality, and compliance on-site * Programme management from survey phase through to completion * Ensuring subcontractors meet both technical and behavioural standards What we’re looking for * Strong site-based Project Manager with hands-on delivery experience * Proven background managing subcontractor-led projects * Confident client-facing individual (stakeholder management essential) * Ability to manage programme, quality, and site standards * Fire protection experience * SMSTS (essential) * Asbestos Awareness * IOSH or similar (beneficial) This role stands out as a long-term, secure opportunity on a single site (minimum 12 months), with a clear structure and dedicated admin and design support already in place.
