CYP Domestic Abuse Support Worker

Job Description

Suitable candidates must have experience working with children within domestic abuse services. It would be advantageous if you hold a driving licence and have your own car as the role involves travelling to schools in the Swansea area and working in the office. Hours: 28 hours per week worked over 4-5 days This role is for 1 month initially, with a possible extension until July 31st 2026, extended on a month by month basis. You would need to have a valid Child & Adult DBS on the update service. Previous recent experience of working with children and families. Experience of 1 : 1 sessions and group work. Ability to identify and respond to the specific emotional and practical needs of children and young people. Supporting children & young people suffering from/been exposed to domestic abuse. Establish and maintain accurate up to date recordsEssential: NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or working towards one. Experience of supporting women & children from differing cultural and social backgrounds. Understanding/experience of the causes and the long term effects of domestic abuse.
